Greenhouse

Inferni's greenhouse exists to grow plants considered useful to the pack. Due to its construction, the plants within can be grown and harvested year-round. Inferni members are free to use plants from the garden as they see fit, except where otherwise noted.

Description

The greenhouse is located next to the D'Neville Mansion; it is constructed of PVC pipe and fiberglass. Inside one can find a large collection of medicinal herbs, which are tended to by Aedile. Inferni's garden is located around this, though the plants grown here are seasonal and not used for major medical reasons.

History

The Greenhouse was imagined and conceived by Anselm de le Poer, with assistance from various members, and constructed during First Dahlian War.

Current Plants

Plants
Borage Small Supply

The leaves of this plant are dried and used in tea to promote milk production in nursing mothers, as well as ease fever.

Cannabis Large Supply

Inferni has a large and well-cared for crop of cannabis. While not strictly hallucinogenic, one can smoke or eat the dried leaves of this plant to provide a relaxed sort of high. While it grows wild throughout the clan's territory, the crop within the greenhouse is stronger than that found elsewhere.

Feverfew Medium Supply

The plant has been used as an herbal treatment to reduce fever and to treat headaches, arthritis and digestive problems. It is not to be used by pregnant or nursing mothers.

Honeysuckle Medium Supply

This plant grows wild along the fence that borders the D'Neville Mansion and surrounding buildings. Medicinally, it can be used for coughs.

Lavender Medium Supply

Infusions of lavender soothe and heal insect bites and burns. Bunches of lavender repel insects. If applied to the temples, lavender oil soothes headaches. In pillows, lavender seeds and flowers aid sleep and relaxation. An infusion of three flowerheads added to a cup of boiling water soothes and relaxes at bedtime.

Opium Poppy Medium Supply

While the plants themselves are mostly only used for visual appearance, the seeds of these plants are harvested and used as opiates.

Tansy Small Supply

19th-century Irish folklore suggests bathing in a solution of tansy and salt as a cure for joint pain. A bitter tea made with tansy flowers has been used for centuries as an anthelmintic to treat parasitic worm infestations. The plant itself repels ants and flies from the garden, and the flowers can be used to produce a golden-yellow dye.
