Sheep
Even during the reign of men, Bass River was a small and shrinking community. Its population consisted of less than 300 humans at any given time, who were outnumbered by the farm animals they kept. Following the apocalypse and downfall of humanity, this village swiftly fell into ruin. No buildings remain standing, taken by the ravages of the coast and twenty-plus years of wilderness. While the dairy cattle swiftly fell to aggressive predators, the sheep were hardier and managed to survive on the farms that went wild in the area.
In the fall of 2011, Myrika organized the clan into rounding up a section of the herd. Recognizing the value of the landscape, Myrika suggested that a second farm be built in this area over the ruins of a semi-collapsed building she had found. Construction went swiftly, and a barn was erected by October. It now houses the animals belonging to those living closer to the western borders and serves as a night-paddock for the sheep captured.
Inferni’s western neighbors in the enigmatic Salsola pack boast a well-bred collection of sheep. Inferni may trade their own sheep with them in the future.

Inferni has a small number of sheep, which were captured in the late summer of 2011. They live in the secondary barn between the Great Village and Bass River. Generally, they are used for milk and wool--Inferni prides itself on not relying on captured animals for sources of food.

Ibsen is a raven who lives with Ezekiel and serves as a scout and spy. He is capable of High Speech though tends to be cruel and mocking when he talks to canines. He has an intense fear of cats. PM Mel for permission to use Ibsen in threads!

Muerte is a Great Horned Owl that was found by Kesho, who cared for her until his death. She is familiar with the coyotes that live in the Grimwell caverns, but does not allow them to touch her. Upon Kesho's death, Valkyrie took in Muerte.

Zedekiah (meaning) is a large black turkey vulture. He's pretty ugly, and very large -- his wingspan is approximately 69 inches (175 cm) and he weighs about four pounds. He hangs around Ithiel almost exclusively and rarely interacts with others.

Ky'allu is a Stellar's Sea Eagle that Omni met when his wing was damaged. The two worked out a trade of scouting for food, and he now lives with her.

Ezekiel received these chickens after a trade with Cercatori d'Arte. They are not to be killed without permission, though the eggs can be taken at any time. The three hens recently hatched chicks. These are most often seen around the secondary barn.

Farai is a donkey belonging to Myrika Tears, typically used as a personal pack animal. Myrika may be willing to lend Farai to others within Inferni. He is generally even-tempered, if somewhat stubborn, and enjoys doing work when in the company of Eira -- he is friendly toward other horses, as well. Since the addition of the sheep, he has taken up a self-appointed role of protector and tends to graze with them.

Blitzen is an albino reindeer belonging to Sascha. The reindeer was given to Sascha upon his brother Izaak's death. Cotl often cares for him as well. While the reindeer shows little fear around coyotes, he will bolt from larger canines.

This cat belongs to Valkyrie, and was given to her by Zana. He is very much feral, still very wary of Luperci, but trusts people it knows. He is bold and spits and hisses when threatened.
